Ticket printer
Printing in general with DartsSpace supports various ways, this is because it uses standard web printing using a dialog where you you can pick your printer and paper format.
There are also some setting in your profile https://dartsspace.com/profile/settings where you can set the paper format.
Connecting a ticket printer
DartsSpace supports about any ticket printer, however, our default format uses 72(2.83inch)-80(3.14)mm width paper.
You can use the ticket printer as a regular printer on your computer, or you can use our ticket printer tool which is highly recommended.
If you do not wish to use the tool, check here how to make a custom paper format in windows (this is not needed with the tool) youtube video
Before you start, make sure you have installed your printer driver properly and it shows up under printer settings in windows.
Using the ticket printer tool (beta)
You can download the printer tool using the links below. We currently only support Windows (64bit) if you need support for another platform, please contact us. And we can distribute alternative versions.
Once downloaded, open the tool and login with your DartsSpace account. This will connect it to your tournaments and automatically print if connected.
After you login, you will be shown a screen where you can select the printer to use. Select your ticket printer (other types of printers are not tested and may not give the best results).
You can use the Print sample scorecard
button to test if the printer is properly connected.
An indicator will show if the printer is connected to the server properly. If it is not, you can try to reconnect by clicking the Reconnect
button, or restart the tool.
Printing with the tool connected
Now whenever you have an ongoing tournament, and the printer tool is running, you will see an indicator on the top right of the games screen showing you the connection status.
From the account settings, you can optionally allow auto-printer, this will automatically print the scorecard when a game is assigned to a board.
Please note: The printing tool will only pick up game tickets, this does not work for groups papers. In that case the printer window from the browser will be used.
If the tool is offline, the system will automatically fall back to the browser printer window.
